The Flicks keeps things simple, and that goes for your privacy too. This website does not ask you to create an account and does not have comment sections. We collect only what we need to count our visitors, send our newsletter, and handle your reservations. Here is what happens when you visit.
Visitor statistics
We use two analytics services, Statcounter and Jetpack, to understand how many people visit the site, which pages they read, and roughly where in the world they come from. These services use cookies and record technical details such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you view.
We use this information for one purpose only: to see how the website is doing. We do not use it to identify you, and we do not share it with anyone else.
If you prefer not to be counted, you can block cookies in your browser settings or use a browser extension that blocks analytics scripts. The website works fine either way.
Reservations and private rentals
When you reserve a seat for a screening or ask about renting the theater for a private session, you fill out a form on this site. The forms ask for your name, contact details, and the details of your reservation or request, and are processed by Cognito Forms, the service that handles our form submissions. Cognito Forms stores what you enter and passes it on to us; its own privacy policy applies to how it does that.
We use the information you submit for one purpose only: to handle your reservation or rental request. We do not add you to any mailing list, we do not share your details with anyone else, and we do not keep them longer than needed to handle your booking.
Newsletter
If you sign up for our newsletter, your email address is stored with SendPulse, the mailing list provider we use to send it. After signing up you will receive a confirmation email, and your subscription only becomes active once you confirm it. Nobody can subscribe you without your knowledge.
Every newsletter contains an unsubscribe link. Click it and you are off the list, no questions asked. We do not share your email address with anyone other than SendPulse, and we do not use it for anything except sending you the newsletter.
Embedded content
Some pages on this site embed content from other websites, such as movie trailers, maps, or social media posts. Embedded content behaves exactly as if you had visited that other website directly: those services may set their own cookies and collect their own data, and their own privacy policies apply. We have no control over what they collect.
Cookies
Apart from the analytics cookies described above and any cookies set by embedded content, this website does not place cookies on your device.
